SHOWSTOPPER Alice Barry performs George Michael’s hit Outside on let’s Dance for Sport
BURNLEY actress Alice Barry showed her 'Shameless' side when she pinched TV presenter Steve Jones's bottom on the BBC's Let's Dance for Sport Relief.
The BBC said it received 30 complaints following Alice’s antics on the show, which was broadcast at 7.10pm on Saturday.
But the Shameless star, who plays Lillian Tyler in the Channel 4 series, said those people had ‘no sense of humour’.
She had performed as a policewoman to Outside by George Michael on Saturday night's show.
Following her routine, she squeezed co-host Steve Jones's bottom and told him: "That was wonderful. Good workout. I'll tell you what, you've got a lovely bum."
Steve, a former host of the American X Factor, responded: 'That was deep. Let's go to the panel, and I'm going to call my lawyer."
Alice said: It was great fun. I was asked to take part and I knew a routine using George Michael’s Outside would have good comedy value.
“Steve is lovely and we had a real laugh about it afterwards.
“I do a lot for charity and it was a joy to take part.“Those people who complained have got no sense of humour.”
Double Brit award winner Ed Sheeran also parodied Adele by sticking his finger up on the primetime show.
The 21-year-old mimicked the record-breaking star who stuck her middle finger up after being cut-off during her acceptance speech at the Brit Awards on Tuesday.
Former Winter Olympic ski jumper Eddie the Eagle won the show with a routine based on the opening sequence from Austin Powers.
The BBC declined to comment.

I wonder what readers would make of LT if our correspondents could act as writers for a week - say for charity? A chance to throw away the newspaper's style-book, so no hackneyed language or punctuation straight out of 'that'll-do'.
