A SECOND wave of acts has been revealed for this summer’s Beat-Herder Festival in the Ribble Valley.

The opening Friday night will be headlined by Crystal Fighters whose combination of psychedelia and electronic folk has seen them become one of the most hotly tipped bands of 2017.

Also appearing on the Friday will be leading R&B star Kelis and teen duo Let’s Eat Grandma.

In the Fortress stage at the boutique festival, former Angels DJ turned Retro founder Paul Taylor will be taking to the decks alongside the likes of rave legends Altern-8, record boss Darren Emerson, former Hacienda resident Graeme Park, Justin Robertson and Manchester’s bass-heavy techno duo Solardo.

Beat-Herder runs from Friday, July 14 to Sunday, July 16 and remains one of the few independent music festivals in the UK.

Other additions to the line-up over the various stages are Cabbage, James Holroyd and Hot Chip’s Joe Goddard.

Already confirmed for the festival are the likes of Sleaford Mods, Toots and the Maytals and Lee Scratch Perry.

The unique event features 21 specially constructed stages deep in the Forest of Bowland plus its own working men’s club, tattoo parlour and fairground.
