The name Poppadom City is a strange one, especially as the takeaway that bears that moniker doesn't just specialise in poppadoms and is in Brierfield, which cannot be described as being a city.
But it sits there, across the road from the town's only remaining pub, the Feathers, and has survived a good number of years and seems to do a decent enough trade.
It takes a while to scan through the menu, which consists of much more than poppadoms, and it is a big decision whether to opt for a curry, a pizza or a kebab.
Only one option really, it has to be a kebab.
And it was a big decision as to whether go for a regular kebab or a Shashlik Kebab.
As I didn't know what the latter was, I thought it had to be one of those so I went for a City Mix Tikka Shashlik.
It was a massive helping of kebab regulars served as a dish with rice, curry sauce salad and pretty warm mint sauce.
And it was pretty good - and hot - and a real change from the usual.
Just a warning though. Brierfield centre after dark is not really a place you want to be venturing thanks to gangs of gobby teens and a lack of police presence – so order two kebabs and get them delivered for free. That’s a better deal.
