RIVE Haute is unusual because it's a tasty single varietal branded wine - from France.
The Plaimont winery in Gascony, a region in the south west between Toulouse and the Atlantic Ocean has produced a clearly-labelled Sauvignon Blanc which is every bit as good as most New World competitors with strong citrus flavours and a sensible 11.5% alcohol level.
A lovely wine.
