Dear Massi,
My wife likes to eat in bed.
At first I used to just get on with it but now she is bringing her whole evening meal to bed complete with chapatti’s and curry!
We argue about it all the time but she says she doesn’t feel comfortable unless she is eating in bed.
I have told her it is unhygienic but she doesn’t care.
Then she rolls over sometimes and wants to do intimate things after having a lamb karahi. I have to say this has completely ruined our bedtime routine.
Now, the kids are copying her and taking their dinner to bed to so they can watch TV in peace.
This is ridiculous!
I wanted her to read this letter and see how desperate I have become. Maybe she might change her mind.
Massi Says,
Dining tables were created for a reason. No one wants their bed to smell like a kitchen. Furthermore, it is setting a bad example to the children.
It might be an idea to remove the TV from the bedroom entirely. The occasional snack in bed is acceptable. But eating meals regularly in the bedroom is taking it too far.
Tell your wife that your time with her in the bedroom is sacred, and that you wish to spend time with her without being put off by stale food smells.
