Following on from the success of last year’s health fair, the One Voice Mela, incorporating Baiter Sehat, will take place this year on Sunday 10 August, in Corporation Park, Blackburn.

The Mela aims to promote a positive attitude and to generate an awareness of the range of factors which influence health and wellbeing.

Health experts will be on hand at the Mela to meet and greet the public and offer advice and information.

The event will also feature a fun day for children and an ‘It’s a Knockout’ competition.

Health stands at this year’s Mela include Ageing Well, Lancashire Mind, Stroke Association, Deaf Aware, Lifeline East Lancashire and Rosemere Cancer Foundation.

Zoe Gatland from Lifeline East Lancashire said, "Lifeline East Lancashire are really looking forward to supporting the Mela this year. following the success of last year. If you have any questions about drugs, alcohol, legals high, shisha or steroids, please come and see us."

Kulsoom Satia from the Rosemere Cancer Foundation said, "The One Voice Mela gives us a great opportunity to raise extra funds for the Rosemere Cancer Foundation. This is a local cancer charity for Lancashire and South Cumbria.

"We had a stall at the Health Mela last year which was a huge success as not many people had heard of the Rosemere cancer foundation. It was a great occasion for us to raise much needed awareness." For more information about the One Voice Mela, call 07938 786005
