Rotherham is not the place you think of when you think of an international music star. But Maz Khan is hoping to be just that.

Maz started singing at a young age at family events and parties before he met with record label owner Zahid Parvez who offered to give him his first break as a professional singer. He has already performed at more than 50 stages across the UK for private bookings where he is known to sing hit Bollywood and Pakistan songs.

Born and Raised in northern England, Maz’s roots are Pakistani though where he was raised listening to Late Noor Jehan, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and Attaullah Khan.

Maz had some singing lessons at an early stage where he honed his voice and ability to understand the depth of music and raags.

He has also collaborated with Irene Parveen a well-known Pakistani playback singer where they sung “Tum Ho Mehboob Mere” in a stage performance a few years ago.

The video for Jaan Soniye has been shot in the Midlands where it traditionally shows a more slow, picturesque and romantic story line reflecting to this soulful song. He said: “I can’t believe my song will be on radios and video will be played on TV channels worldwide.

“I am excited and blessed to have this opportunity and look forward to this journey.”

Jaan Soniye produced by twilight productions is a musical enchantment with live strings, pianos in the composition it really takes you to another world with Maz’s soulful voice and romantic vibe.

Jaan Soniye is set to released on June 12 worldwide.
