Seasonal theme for Ribchester am-dram show

SENDING up the worst disasters of amateur dramatics, Ribchester Amateur Theatrical Society (RATS) latest outing has a seasonal theme.

RATS will present The Farndale Avenue Housing Estate Townswomen’s Guild Dramatic Society’s Production of a Christmas Carol from Friday to Sunday, at 7.45pm, at the village hall.

A spokesman said: “You can expect chaos and disaster on a vast and very humorous scale, where everything that can go wrong will indeed go very wrong.”

A spokesman said: “You may think you know the basic story line of Charles Dickens’ tale and that’s probably just as well because you won’t learn much from this disjointed production, which has more to do with the bitter personal rivalry of the two leading lights of The Farndale group – chairwoman Mrs Reece and Thelma, the leading diva.”
