TICKETS for Burnley Light Opera Society’s production La Cage Aux Folles go on sale this week.

With many ticket enquiries already made, the company is putting tickets for the musical at Burnley Mechanics on sale a month early, from Monday, September 5.

And to add to the atmosphere of the Saint Tropez nightclub which the action revolves around, the stalls are being transformed into a cabaret setting with tables allowing the audience to enjoy a drink and get nearer the action.

The cast is led by David Norris and James Cockerill, but the stars of the show are set to be the notorious Cagelles - but who knows oif they’re all men?

Find out in the finale.

BLOS spokeswoman Anne Baron said: “Rehearsals are going really for the show that won several awards last year including a Tony Award for the best revival of a musical.

“The show promises to be spectacular so to avoid disappointment book early – and the cabaret tables will be limited, so book as soon as possible.”

La Cage Aux Folles tells of the idyllic life of nightclub manager Georges and Albin, his romantic partner and the club’s glamorous star attraction, which is put to the test when Georges’ son invites his fiancées parents to meet them.

The musical comedy classic is directed by Anthony Williams, with musical direction by Andrew Saunders.
