STARS of Strictly Come Dancing are making their way to East Lancashire on July 30 as Hyndburn’s Time to Dance Festival comes to an end.

Professional dancers, Ian Waite and Natalie Lowe will perform with Matthew and Nicole Cutler, stars of BBC1’s annual show, in Accrington to close the festival.

And it’s not too late to join in the dancing fun at Hyndburn Leisure Centre.

Kerry Smith, events manager, said that now the show was in its third successful year it was a big hit with residents in Hyndburn.

She said: “The festival has been a big success, from the opening event, right through to the smaller classes at the Town Hall.

"The idea was to get local people thinking about dance, get them active and help them learn new skills and, from that perspective, it’s been a big hit.

“It will be wonderful to finish the festival on a high and we have two sets of world class dancers who are familiar faces from their time on TV.”

This year’s festival saw different dance events ranging from Children’s Hip Hop to Bollywood with people of all ages enjoying themselves while experiencing dance for the first time.
