THE Good Lovelies will bring some sunshine to Ramsbottom whatever the weather when they play on May 25.
The three-piece follow in the well shod footsteps of Canadian girl groups such as the Be Good Tanyas and Wailin’ Jennies.
Made up of Caroline Brooks, Kerri Ough and Sue Passmore, the band’s constant instrument swapping and witty on-stage banter have enlivened the folk music world since they joined forces in 2006 for their first show at Toronto’s funky Gladstone Hotel.
Let the Rain Fall, released this week, is their third full-length album and an ode to camaraderie.
The Good Lovelies play The Grants Arms, Ramsbottom, on Wednesday, May 25. Tickets for the show cost £8 advance or £10 on the door. To book, visit themet.biz, or ring 0161 7612216.
