AN Open Focus exhibition will take place at Howarth Art Gallery in Accrington, showcasing local talent.
Artists Joe Hesketh from Barrowford and Peter Hopwood from Langho are two of the four artists featured in this year’s exhibition.
Their work will be on display when the gallery exhibition opens.
Joe Hesketh produces large expressionist paintings about people with lots of colour and texture, while the compositions of Peter Hopwood are full of clear bright colours defining curving, semi-abstract landscapes.
Haworth Art Gallery manager Jennifer Rennie said that the pair were two of four artists who all exhibited in the gallery’s open exhibition last year.
And they competed with 30 other artists to take part in Open Focus.
The other artists involved in the exhibition are sculptor Liz Ellis and painter Tracy Levine.
Open Focus runs at Haworth Art Gallery in Accrington from May 8 to June 13. Call 01254 233 782 for details.
