THE traditional Burnley May Day festival takes place at Towneley Park on Monday May 3.
The May Day celebrations attract thousands of visitors every year.
The annual May Day festival is one of very few in the country that has been held every year since the May Day bank holiday was established in 1978.
The event, which will feature a funfair, donkey rides and dog agility displays, is organised by Burnley Trades Council's May Day committee.
The day will begin with the May Day parade from the town hall to the park, setting off at noon which will be led by the Red Rose brass band.
Events at the park will start around 11am.
