Burnley Garrick’s fourth play in 2009/10 season, Hay Fever, takes place from March 24 to 27.
Written by Noel Coward, this production is directed by Dorothy Spencer.
Set in the Bliss family home, the eccentric family is made up of Judith, a recently retired stage actress; David, a self absorbed novelist; and their two equally unconventional children, Simon and Sorel.
Without telling one another, they each invite a guest for the weekend.
Upon entering this world, their unfortunate guests – a diplomat, a shy flapper, an athletic boxer, and a sophisticate – are repeatedly thrown into melodramatic scenes.
The cast sees Garrick regulars, plus making her debut is Andrea Cawley from Downham Players.
* Hay Fever is at Burnley Mechanics, from Wednesday, March 24 to Saturday, March 27. Call 01282 664400.
