THE North West’s greatest big band will be swinging to the sounds of the fabulous ’40s at Burnley on March 7.

Enjoy a salute to Glenn Miller and the Big Bands with Paul Rigby and the Northern Jazz Orchestra featuring vocalist Faye Duxbury.

Having performed at theatres and jazz festivals throughout the UK for over twenty years the Northern Jazz orchestra, led by Paul Rigby directs the North West’s greatest big band as they play the classics from a bygone time.

Expect Glenn Miller classics such as American Patrol, In the Mood, Moonlight Serenade, Little Brown Jug and St Louis Blues interspersed with music from Woody Herman, Stan Kenton, Count Basie, Harry Connick Jr. and more.

They have appeared with stars such has Bobby Shew, Mark Nightingale, Kenny Baker, Jiggs Wigham, Elaine Delmar, Al Woods and Jeff Hooper. In addition to the creative band arrangements, their trumpet, saxophone, piano and drum solos guarantee a great show visually and musically.
