FORMER school inspector turned best-selling author and raconteur Gervase Phinn is heading to Darwen Library Theatre in March.

His books, based on his experiences visiting schools in Yorkshire, have won him a legion of fans and his live shows are packed with anecdotes from his career and acute observations on the things that children say.

Additionally he has published collections of his own plays, poems, picture books and short stories.
