INVESTORS are returning to the housing market in significant numbers largely because lenders see them as a more reliable bet than first-time buyers, says property investment specialist Assetz.
Chief executive Stuart Law said: “Lenders are making no secret of the fact they would rather allocate their limited funds to the lower risk option of buy to let loans, with deposits of 25-40 per cent, than first-time buyers with 90 per cent loan-to-value values.”
