This year 23 of our Maths students participated in the UKMT Senior Mathematics Challenge. The Challenge involves answering 25 multiple choice questions in 90 minutes and is sat in college under normal exam conditions and is based around lively, intriguing multiple choice question papers, designed to stimulate interest in Mathematics study and learning.
The top 60% of students nationally receive a Gold, Silver or Bronze certificate and each institution receives a Best in School certificate. The Challenge proved to be an ideal opportunity to show-case the students problem solving skills and have their achievement recognised at a national level.

Mr Altaf Ibrahim, Mathematics teacher said, “I am really pleased my students came forward to participate in this extra-curricular activity. Well done to everyone who participated and I hope we are able to build on this success next year”.

In total our students achieved three Bronze awards, seven Silver awards and two Gold Awards, with special congratulations going to;
