THE average attendances at local non-league games tells a worrying story for the game at that level.
People assume that disillusionment with the professional game is boosting grass roots level. People say fans who are fed-up with the behaviour of so-called stars are backing the non-league boys. That may be the case with FC United and Chorley’s crowds are also on the up.
The rest are alarming, especially when our teams are doing pretty well.
