YOU need to know your family history from way back, but a Great Harwood is appealing for information to help find relatives.
Marjorie Aspden is looking for details on her family who originated from the Stacksteads and Bacup area.
They will be descended from a John William Aspden, from Rossendale, 1865 to 1928, who married Mary Ann and had three children.
d and though the two daughters Gladys and Ethel married and stayed there, the couple and their only son Harry returned to England in 1919.
Harry, who was born in 1888 married Minnie Bibby at Haslingden register office in 1922.
Said Marjorie: “I would like to know if Harry and Minnie had any children and would like to contact any descendants if possible.
“There might also be old friends who would be able to help.”
