CRICKETING aficionados will no doubt be able to put names to faces from this fascinating photograph dating back more than half a century.
It was taken during a police charity match at the Church's ground in 1953.
How many cricketing legends can you spot?
The three West Indian Test batsman, known as The Three Ws', Everton Weekes, Frank Worrell and Clyde Walcott, are there and other top players of their time from Australia, India and New Zealand.
Batsman Weekes, who also played Lancashire League Cricket and at the time was with Bacup, is on the back row, along with Sonny Ramadhin, who played for the West Indies and appeared in the Central Lancs League; New Zealand captain John Reid, while on the right is Bill Alley of New South Wales and Colne.
In the middle, are Indian players, Pelly Unrigar, who played for Church; Vinoo Mankad, Haslingden, and Arjun Nayudi, Accrington.
They stand alongside Australian Colin McCool, professional for East Lancashire, Worrell, who appeared in the Central Lancs League and Walcott, professional for Enfield.
On the right is umpire Eddie Paynter, of Enfield, Lancashire and England.
On the front row are local amateurs, including John Ingham of Hasling-den, Jimmy Howarth of Church, and Frank Rushton of Accrington.
