WORKS outings used to be a big day on the calendar.
Workers would pile on to coaches and head off for the coast or countryside, usually via a hostelry or three!
This is a picture of men from the machine shop of Clayton Good-fellows, engineering works, Blackburn, setting off on their annual trip about half a century ago.
It's been sent in by Stanley Devine, of Blackburn, who reckons it was taken in the mid-1950s, as he and his colleagues set off to Blackpool.
Stanley is hoping to arrange a reunion of all past workers and hopes this photo might jog a few memories. You can contact him on 01254 580900.
