One of our readers is trying to identify this mayor of Blackburn and also wants to know what year he held office.

David Burgess reckons the photograph was taken at Blackburn Golf Club several decades ago.

It looks, though, that the subjects – one of them is his late mother – do not appear particularly happy to be posing for the camera.
