LOOKING back at the way we used to be, we today feature the 3rd Blackburn Boys’ Brigade company from the Church of the Saviour in Blackburn.
Taken around 60 years ago, the lads were waiting for their cue to entertain at Blackpool Tower Circus.
From their apparel – the white shorts and the white T-shirts as well as the plimsolls – it looks as though they were about to perform some kind of gymnastic display?
It was part of a show which was once an annual event at the venue for lads clubs based throughout Lancashire and Cheshire.
Did you ever take part in one of these shows, or have you any similar photographs from days gone by to share with readers?
Maybe you recognise some of the boys from the Blackburn company, which was based in Sunny Bank Road.
