TRIUMPH Bonnevilles and Royal Enfields were some of the new models in the motorcycle showroom in 1959.
Who can remember popping along to King’s in Penny Street, Blackburn, that year to see its ‘wonderful stock of new or used machines’?
With cars still out of the reach of many families and couples, motorcycles and scooters were then a popular buy among the male population.
The business also promised a ‘stupendous’ allowance for your present bike, against any one of the latest models which were now in stock.
Riders could enjoy demonstrations of all models with no obligation and could choose from the latest:
- Lambrettas, available in all colours
- Delightfully coloured NSU scooter
- Tangerine Super Sports Diana n Ariel Leader in a two tone finis
- The showroom was open until 8pm through the week, apart from Thursdays half day and all day Saturday.
