OUR photograph last week of the model aircraft club, which flies high at Pleasington, brought back happy memories by Sue Wilson.
For she spotted her late father Frank Nikiel – he was second on the right on the front row – and reckons the picture comes from the late sixties or early seventies.
She said: “I remember spending many hours down Witton Park as a young girl on a Sunday whilse dad flew his planes.
“He used to borrow my Sindy and Barbie dolls and have them piloting his planes, much to my amusement. “ I anyone else can name the men from the Blackburn and Diistricy Model Aircraft Club and their flying machines, we’d like to hear from you.
