KENNETH (KEN) SWINDLEHURST On Monday, August 11, 2014, peacefully in Blackpool Victoria Hospital, surrounded by his loving family, Ken aged 78 years of Ferrier Court, Blackburn. Beloved husband of Margaret, much loved dad of Michael and Peter, dearly loved grandad of Brandon, loved brother of Olive and the late Lily and Mary, dear brother-in-law of Derek, David and the late Tom and a loving uncle to all his nephews and nieces. Reposing in the Chapel of Rest, Mincing Lane. The cortege will leave from Ken’s home address on Friday, August 22, for an 11.30 am service at Pleasington Cemetery Chapel followed by burial at Pleasington Cemetery. Family flowers only, donations, if desired, may be made to the British Heart Foundation c/o Co-operative Funeralcare, 10-14 Mincing Lane, Blackburn, BB2 2EB. All enquiries Tel. 01254 57331

It is an honour to be your Son. Although it is so raw at the moment, I know that time is great healer, and all the happy memories and funny times that we had together will sustain me for the rest of my life. As I promised you, I will look after Mum, she will want for nothing. ****
