Shouranour made a promising start for David O'Meara when third on his British bow last month and he can step up on that with victory in the Weatherbys Private Banking Hamiltonian Handicap at Hamilton on Thursday.
A representative of one of the Aga Khan's admirable families, Shouranour is a half-brother to Group Three winners Sharestan and Shareen amongst others, but he has fallen some way short of their achievements to date.
Five runs for John Oxx yielded no joy and Shouranour was subsequently sent to the sales last autumn, where he was snapped up for just 8,000 euros by the O'Meara team.
The son of Lawman was subsequently gelded before he returned to action at Newcastle, running a promising race to finish a three-length third behind Muharrer.
Shouranour was outstayed in the finish that day but travelled well enough and off an unchanged mark of 77, O'Meara could have plenty of leeway in coming runs.
Flighty Clarets was another to make her intentions clear with a good run at Gosforth Park and she is the clear pick in the Weatherbys Bank Handicap.
Richard Fahey's charge saw plenty of racing last year, managing to win once, and she looked likely to make a successful start to 2014 when taking it up in the last of five furlongs.
However, she ran out of steam in the dying strides and was just edged out, although she still deserved plenty of credit for what was her first run in a while.
Flighty Clarets has been hiked 3lb for that performance but she is still a little way short of her highest mark of 71.
Ski Slope represents an excellent Cheveley Park family and is definitely one to consider in the 32Red Casino Median Auction Maiden Stakes at Lingfield.
A daughter of Group Two-winning mare Danehurst, Ski Slope finished a satisfactory fourth on her racecourse bow after running a bit green before keeping on.
She should be wiser for the experience and looks another useful juvenile for Richard Hannon.
Godolphin should enjoy an across-the-card double with newcomer Arabian Revolution in the first division of the Hindwoods Maiden Stakes at Lingfield and Desert Snow at Kempton.
Desert Snow lines up in the Follow @BetVictorRacing On Twitter Maiden Stakes after finishing a neck second to Sultanina on her first start at Salisbury.
She was getting lumps of weight from the winner that day but given that filly has since gone on to Group Three glory, Desert Snow's form bares the closest scrutiny.
Extremity can make it a double in Kempton's BetVictor.com Handicap after a recent success at Leicester.
The colt was smart enough to win once as a juvenile but floundered on his return at Newbury in April, finishing well behind a horse who went on to be fourth in the French 2000 Guineas.
That run obviously prompted serious improvement though, as Extremity ran out an eyecatching winner of a decent Leicester heat on his next start.
Hugo Palmer's charge incurred a 4lb rise for that victory but that should not be enough to stop him.
Reet Thicknstrong can lift the 32Red Tomb Raider Slot Maiden Stakes at Southwell, while Doc Wells is the choice in the Einsley Harries EH Factors Novices' Handicap Chase at Ffos Las.
