Daily Sports Debate: Is Sean Dyche the country's top boss

Lancashire Telegraph: Daily Sports Debate: Is Sean Dyche the country's top boss Daily Sports Debate: Is Sean Dyche the country's top boss

BURNLEY could be sitting pretty at the top of the championship come saturday afternoon.

The Clarets have cut the gap to leaders Leicester to three points and a two-goal victory this weekend will send Sean Dyche’s side top.

The Burnley boss has done a superb job with the Clarets this season and will surely be named manager of the season in the Championship but is there another manager across all four divisions who has done a better job over the course of this campaign?

He is without a doubt THE best manager in the Football League.

To do what he has done at Burnley is nothing short of remarkable. We were many people's favourites for relegation at the start of the season , particularly after we sold Charlie Austin three days before the start of the season.

He has spend a total of £450k on one player during his 18 or so months at the helm, the rest have been free transfers, and has transformed average players into a force to be reckoned with. The likes of Trippier, Vokes, Arfield, Ings, Marney etc etc have all been brilliant this season and are having their best ever seasons.

In short, the man is a footballing Tyrannasaurus.

I think the question should be is Eddie Howe the manager of the year because everybody who matters in your team was bought by him. Tactically Dyche is okay and seems to be able to motivate your players, but any manager in the championship who had Ings, Vokes and Trippier would be right up there, so I would say, no, he hasn't proven himself just yet.
