A NEW Starbucks coffee shop is now open in Blackburn town centre.
The store, located in Cathedral Square, has created 15 new full and part-time jobs in the area.
Mohammed Tayab, head of Starbucks for the Euro Garages Group, said the company is passionate about hiring local people, especially as the Europe-wide group was founded in Blackburn.
He said: "We are really excited to be opening here today and we are looking forward to meeting new people and making a good connection with the community."
The event was a landmark occasion for the group, as it marked the opening of their 100th Starbucks store.
The store is serving Starbucks' full range of coffees, as well as a selection of seasonal favourites.
