Tinto farmers could not transfer their dominance of Scotland's
National Championship to the international stage. In the British
Tug-of-War Championships held in Northern Ireland yesterday, Tinto could
manage only two second places, in the 680kg closed weight and the 640kg
open weight. All weights were won by the English national side
represented by Norton.
