A TEENAGE boy needed hospital treatment after he was knocked off his bike.

The collision happened in Randal Street, Blackburn, around 9.25pm yesterday.

Rob Birtwistle, watch manager at Blackburn Fire station, said: “The police called us in to assist with the youth.

“We made an assessment at the scene, provided oxygen to the casualty, packaged him on a long board and then the ambulance arrived.

“He was drifting in and out of consciousness.”

The road was cordoned off while emergency services worked to help the boy.

Dont blame the driver. There isnt enough info to start pointing fingers yet.
Perhaps a fair share of consideration and awareness is needed from both parties?

I hope he is ok and recovers soon.

I hope the lad is OK and his parents are able to care for him at home and can help him to deal with the situation so he will not be frightened to get back on his bike.
All drivers need to be aware of how fragile cyclists can be and give them space.
