A BLACKBURN sofa store will be relaunched on Boxing Day as its parent company eyes a record year for sales.
CSL, in The Peel Centre, Whitebirk Industrial Estate, will be rebranded as Sofaworks, with a host of family-friendly activities on Boxing Day.
Sofaworks, established by the Tyldesley family in 1984 as a single store near Burnley, remains wholly-owned by the family and employs more than 700 people.
For the first time, it has also developed its own line of sofas and will stock exclusive product ranges.
Chris Teale, manager of Sofaworks’ Blackburn store, said: “This is not just a name change.
Customers will really notice the difference when they walk into the new store.
“We are open on Boxing Day, when there will be some fun family activities and the chance to win a holiday.”
A host of Sofaworks stores are being launched as the retailer prepares to unveil record results, with turnover up 17 per cent over the course of the year.
Sales for the year to December 31 are on target to top £100 million for the first time.
