TV presenters Stacey Solomon and Joe Swash have announced some major news to fans.
In a video on Instagram, the pair shared that they would be moving house, meaning they’ll no longer live at Pickle Cottage in Essex, as it’s known to their family and fans.
Stacey says in the video that she “can’t believe we’re making this video”.
Swash said Solomon had been thinking hard about how she was going to make the video and what she was going to tell fans, as well as what they’d think about the news.
Stacey Solomon and Joe Swash to leave Pickle Cottage
Announcing the news, Stacey said in the video: “We are leaving Pickle Cottage.
“We’re moving out of Pickle Cottage, which I never ever thought I would say, and imminently.”
She explained why they had kept the news a secret until now: “And the reason that we haven’t said anything up until this point is because anyone who’s ever moved before knows what it’s like.
“You don’t know if it’s going to happen until it actually happens and also leaving Pickle Cottage was a massive, massive decision for us so we had a lot of people we needed to speak to.
“We needed to get the kids around to the idea.
“We needed to speak to all of our neighbours, our lovely friends in the area.
“There were so many people that we needed to speak to before we told everybody and then also like, even the thought of selling Pickle Cottage felt like it would be impossible if everyone knew we were selling Pickle Cottage. Does that make sense?
“So we’ve just waited until someone amazing came along and fell in love with Pickle Cottage.”
Swash said they “look at Pickle Cottage like it’s got its own life” and Solomon added, “Pickle Cottage is our dream house”.
The couple reminisced on some key memories made at their house, including the birth of two of their children and getting married there.
Stacey said she wants “to rescue more animals” and “grow more vegetables”, telling fans how much joy she has got from tending to her current vegetable patch.
She said they had thought about buying another house “with more land” and will be moving to somewhere “really really different”.
Their new house needs “a lot of love” and will be referred to as “Pickle Project” while they add their own touches.
The comments on the post are full of messages from people congratulating the couple, including famous faces like Alison Hammond who said: “Pickle farm here we come 😍”.
Solomon’s sister Jemma said: “Soooo excited the sleep overs are going to be crazyyyyy 😍”.
A fan said: “End of an era but so exciting!!! ❤️”.
Another person commented: “Awwww congratulations can’t wait to see ur new chapter in ur new home xx”.
This person commented: “wishing you all the very best in your new adventure. xxx”.
The news follows speculation that suggested the pair had hit a rough patch in their relationship, but this news confirms their excitement for their future together.
