REGARDING your article "Cricket club bats bouncer" (LET, December 10) about the £330,000 package of improvements, put together by East Lancs CC, they must be joking.
They could do with improving their own financial situation first, with a balance sheet that reads: Net profit 1996 - £44,647; 1997 - £6,664 loss.
Not to mention the loss (resignation) of the vice-chairman, treasurer and groundsman.
