Blackpool Stanley 28 Weavernham 22: Stanley domintaed the first half of their first home game of the season at Stanley Park.

The visitors took an early six points lead but after some good play Stanley soon equalised when Carl Etherington scored a good try, converted by Lee Sanderson

Playing with confidence they increased their lead, with Etherington completing a hat-trick of tries followed by further tries by Mark Holden and Lee Sanderson, the latter also kicking four goals.

With an interval lead of 28-6, Stanley were looking for a win, but the visitors had other ideas and they surprised the home team scoring 14 points without reply from the home team who seemed to lose their confidence in the second period and they were glad to hear the final whistle.

If, however, Stanley can the repeat the good form they showed in the first half they should be in for a good season.

Young forward Simon Richardson was man of the match.

Blackpool Scorpions 44 Folly Lane 20: Scorpions continued their good form this season with an emphatic win on tehir home ground, South Shore Cricket Club, beating Folly Lane convincingly oin an entertaining game. The win took them to the top of Division Four.
