TV news reader Martin Henfield will share his memories of more than 25 years of broadcasting as part Ramsbottom's fundraising for the Golden Jubilee celebrations.
Martin, who presents the BBC's regional evening news, will appear at Ramsbottom Cricket Club on May 11, along with music from Cotton City Jazz Band.
A five-course dinner and raffle are also included in the £25 ticket price.
The town is busy raising cash for the summer's planned events and fundraising efforts have so far included a concert at St Paul's Church with the Radcliffe Male Voice Choir and selling home-made cakes outside Ramsbottom rail station.
A lottery application for almost £5,000 has also been submitted to help with the cost of staging Ramsbottom's Golden Jubilee celebrations.
