A young starlet of the BMX world has conquered England and Great Britain and is now looking to take on Europe.
Maisie Egan, 10, from Blackburn is currently the national and British title holder for her age, having completed for the past four years.
She has competed in both the North Region BMX series and the British Cycling BMX National Series to date.
Last June she both rounds of the BMX National Series in Cumbernauld in Scotland.
Now the intrepid junior rider has secured sponsorship from Bowker Mini Blackburn and Preston as she prepares to take on the continent.
Maisie has her sights sets on competitions in Latvia and Denmark during her 2025 season.
Her father Mark said: "Maisie lives and breathes BMX, and we’re over the moon Bowker MINI has stepped in to support her.
"She’s always looking for the next challenge, and racing in Europe will really push her to the next level.
"It’s great to have local backing that believes in her as much as we do.”
Her latest schedule includes European races aimed at preparing her for the 2025 European Championships in Latvia and the World Championships in Copenhagen.
