Two cities in Lancashire have been named among the most dog-friendly holiday destinations in the UK.
The outdoor experts at Millets have named Preston and Lancaster as two of the best places to take your dog on holiday with you in the UK.
To make the list, the experts did some research and analysed the number of dog-friendly hikes, bars and pubs.

Where did Preston and Lancaster rank in the table?
Preston came in at third place, only being beaten by Carlisle in Cumbria and Exeter.
Each place that features on the list has been given a total score out of 10.
The Lancashire city received a score of 8.31 while Carlisle and Exeter scored 8.85 and 8.39 respectively.
The experts discussed Preston making the top three, saying: “Preston boasts many fantastic parks and gardens, including Halsam Park, a beautiful spacious park with many routes to explore.
“The popular park is also perfect for strolling along the Lancaster Canal.
“The city offers plenty of fun dog-friendly activities. From dog-friendly hiking trails like Cuerden Valley to restaurants like the 1842 Restaurant & Bar, where dogs are welcome and provided with a bowl of water, there’s lots to do with your four-legged friends.”
Lancaster is placed ninth in the table.
