A town in East Lancashire has the second highest demand for Prime Energy drinks, according to new data.

The drink, created by YouTube stars Logan Paul and KSI, has become a viral sensation and received almost two million web searched in the UK in 2022.

Out of the major UK towns and cities, Blackburn has the second-highest demand for Prime, according to Google search data, 113 per cent higher than the national average.

There are around 1,850 monthly searches for Prime drinks in Blackburn.

Overall, demand for Prime is two thirds higher than the national average in the North West and the North East of England.

The North West is the only region with multiple locations appearing in the top 10: Liverpool, Blackburn, Manchester and Lancaster.

Experts analysed how many monthly Google searches for Prime are made per 1,000 people in the largest UK towns and cities to determine where the most demand has been.

Demand has been so high that prices for the energy drink, which sells in Asda for £2 a bottle, have sky-rocketed into the thousands in some instances.

KSI has since called on people to stop buying the drink at the crazy prices in a TikTok video.

The 10 areas with the highest demand for Prime drinks are:

  1. Liverpool
  2. Blackburn
  3. Glasgow
  4. Newcastle upon Tyne
  5. Manchester
  6. Belfast
  7. Derby
  8. Birmingham
  9. Leeds
  10. Lancaster

A spokesperson for gamblingngo.com, which analysed the data, said: “The mania surrounding Logan Paul and KSI’s energy drink, which has sparked a massive surge in customer demand across the UK, demonstrates the power of influencers.

“Our data suggest that the North West and North East have the highest demand, two-thirds greater than the national average.

"It is fascinating to see which areas the internet craze has taken over, with the North West showing the strongest search intent and being the only UK region with multiple areas appearing in the top ten.

“Drinks prices could rise even further if demand intensifies across the South of England, such as the case with bottles reportedly sold for £100 each in some Northern areas.”

Wakefield Wines, an off-licence shop in Wakefield, West Yorkshire, has become an internet sensation after posting video on TikTok of customers who have travelled from across Yorkshire and beyond to the little shop to get their hands on the drinks, sold by the shop at massively inflated prices.

In the latest video, shared by KSI in his TikTok rant, a woman had bought a pack of 12 bottles of the Prime drink - which retails at £2 per bottle in supermarkets - for £1,200.
