LEWIS Capaldi got his fans to "boo" people who were watching his Lytham Festival performance from their balcony.

The Scottish singer-songwriter joked with the couple after he spotted them waving in the distance from a home nearby.

The camera operators turned to show the man and woman enjoying the show.

Lewis said: "You haven't even left the house, I'm glad to have you here. Hello, thank you very much", before going on to say "It's a big house they're staying in as well, you'd think they'd be able to afford tickets".

Lancashire Telegraph:

The thousands of people in the crowd cheered, laughed and clapped following the star's comments.

He replied: "Don't be cheering them, they're laughing at you. They're saying 'those shmucks'.

"Everybody on the count of three boo those people at that house. One, two three..."

After the crowd booed, Lewis said: "I'm only joking, I'm only joking, you can watch along."
