A LEADING Asian restaurant and caterers has announced a special ‘Iftar buffet’ at a Mellor hotel and venue.

The buffets will take place from 7pm on selected dates from Friday April 15 for the remaining days of Ramadan at the Stanley House Hotel in Blackburn, and is being catered by Bradford-based restaurant chain MyLahore.

The menu, which is priced at £19.99 and £11.99 for children (4-12) includes ‘a range of classic desi starters, mains and desserts’. There are also ‘Chinese style favourites, vegetarian and vegan options’. Under 4s eat free and bookings must be made in advance.

The Iftar is the time when the Muslim break their daily fasts during the month of Ramadan.

Lancashire Telegraph:

Based in West Yorkshire with restaurants across the country - and planning to open a new site at the former oldest pub in Blackburn - MyLahore brings the best of South Asian dining and also offers fusion dishes, mixing its traditions with more Western dishes such as burgers and pasta.

A MyLahore spokesperson said: “Thanks to the kind generosity of the owners of Stanley House Hotel, venue costs have been waived, allowing for a premium Iftar experience at exceptional value, to help bring the community together in the blessed month of Ramadan.

“MyLahore will also be donating 10 per cent of all Iftar Buffet sales to their Read Foundation charitable school project.”

Set in 54 acres, the Stanley House Hotel L’Orangerie welcomed guests of the Lancashire Tourism Awards 2021 in February.

Monte Leisure, which is owned by Blackburn’s Issa brothers, took over the hotel and venue in 2020.
