UPDATE: Investigation launched as Domino's claim driver stopped for drugs was "post shift"
A DOMINO'S delivery driver was arrested at the roadside after failing a police drugs test last night (March 4).
An unfortunate customer will have waited a long time for their pizza as the Ford Fiesta driver tasked with delivering it was pulled over by officers when he was seen to be driving at "excessive speed".
According to police, he smelt strongly of cannabis and was drug tested, which returned a positive result.
The offender was arrested at the scene.
A spokesperson for Lancashire Police said: "Driver of a Fiesta seen at excess speed in Rossendale and stopped.
"He smelt strongly of cannabis and was drive wiped at the roadside. He failed, testing positive for cannabis and arrested.
"He is a Domino's delivery driver out on deliveries at the time."
