A TEENAGER who fell from a bridge overlooking a bypass has died.
Police have confirmed the girl, 17, died after falling from a bridge overlooking the A56 near Haslingden at around 1pm.
Emergency services were called to the scene but the teen died a short while later.
Police said the teenager's death is not thought to be suspicious.

A police spokesman said: "The woman’s next of kin have been informed and our thoughts are with them and the rest of her family and friends at this difficult time.
"A file will be prepared for HM Coroner and police are requesting any witnesses to this tragic incident who have not yet spoken to police, or any drivers with dashcam footage to contact them on 101 quoting log 647 of October 14."
A North West Ambulance Service spokeswoman said an air ambulance, an advanced paramedic, a rapid response vehicle and paramedics had been called to the scene at 1.10pm.
The bypass was closed both ways from the Woolpack roundabout to the Rising Bridge roundabout for several hours.

There were queues on the approach northbound with congestion on stretches of the A682 into Rawtenstall, A681 Haslingden Road and A680 Blackburn Road.
There were diversions on both carriageways for several hours while the emergency services carried out their work.
