REGENERATION chiefs have announced a series of spring and summer events to liven up Accrington.
And the Amazing Accrington promotional schedule also includes the launch of a new beer festival.
Hyndburn Leisure Trust will be the main beneficiary of the Accrington Town Hall gathering, from May 31 to June 2, as part of the town's popular food and drink festival weekend.
A top-name act is also being sought for Accrington Music Festival, when it returns on Saturday, May 4, to Accrington's town square.
Plans for a repeat of the soapbox rally, for Saturday, August 31, will this year also focus on Blackburn Road.
Murray Dawson, Amazing Accrington chairman, said: "These events are for the people of Hyndburn and it's going to be a great year.
"We do still have a few sponsorship opportunities available and are urging businesses to get in touch before they go."
Cllr Miles Parkinson, Hyndburn Council leader, added: "It's magnificent to see so many businesses getting involved and supporting local events."
Proposals have also been drawn up for a bikes festival on April 7 at Accrington Cricket Club, a jobs fair on June 28, a chocolate festival on September 28 and a horror show on October 25.
