A ROUNDABOUT outside an England mad pub has been given a World Cup makeover.
But mystery surrounds who daubed the cross of St George outside the Craven Heifer in Darwen.
Landlord Dan Sumner, 33, from Darwen, added: “We have four screens to watch the game.
“The matches have been fantastic and a really good atmosphere. We'll be busy again tonight.”
One Darwen resident, who asked not to be named, said: "I'm not sure who has done it - there are a few rumours and suspicions.
"It appeared around the start of the World Cup - I've seen that it's happened in a few places around the country so I think it's great that Darwen has got one.
"I heard one person say it could be dangerous as it could confuse learner drivers but that's a load of nonsense."
