A PLAY area will be extended at a Walton school thanks to a £380,000 cash boost.
Essex County Council has agreed to fund the plans, which include a new classroom, at Walton Primary School.
The project to replace an old mobile building and improve the playground has been drawn up to cater for a surge in demand for reception class places at the school.
The plans will now be drawn up and will need to be approved by Tendring Council planners before building work begins, but the school hopes to complete before the next school year.
