A MOTORIST from the Malton area who was badly injured in a fatal accident on the A64 remained in a serious condition at York Hospital yesterday.
The man, 27, suffered multiple fractures when his Mazda RX8 collided with a Vauxhall Vectra at the junction with Barr Lane, Stockton-on-the-Forest, on Wednesday.
The driver of the Vauxhall, who is aged 71 and from Haxby, died in the smash.
He has not yet been named by police.
