DINO Maamria has issued an update to Oldham Athletic fans on what the players are up to during their time away from the club.

Latics players have to complete fitness programmes and the boss has decided to join them.

Maamria highlighted the importance of sticking together during the coronavirus crisis and listening to the government guidelines.

"Hi Latics fan, I hope you are all well, fit and healthy and looking after each other," said Maamria in social media video released by the club.

"I’m just letting you know I just completed my Wednesday morning workout.

"We’ve given players a programme to do on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday and I made sure I completed every one of them to try to compete with the slower ones.

"I’m not doing very well so far, the players are taking the mick out of me because my times are not as good as theirs, but I’m sure I will catch up with them.

"I just wanted to catch up with you and let you know that we are in constant communication with each other as a football club.

"We need to make sure we look after each other as a nation, as a town.

"We have to make sure our neighbours are fine, make sure we listen to the guidelines from the government and I’m very confident we will come through this stronger than before as a nation and a football club.

"I’m looking forward to seeing you all very soon, hopefully. Take care."
