BLACKBURN Hawks secured league title glory in style tonight with a 7-0 victory over Solway Sharks.

Dan MacKriel’s side needed just one win from their remaining three games to retain the trophy they won last season in an invincible campaign and Hawks got over the line at he first time of asking.

The home side, who had been beaten by the Sharks earlier in the season, opened up 2-0 lead in the first quarter and extended their advantage to three after 40 minutes.

And the final quarter saw Jordan Bannon make it four almost immediately. Aaron Davies then added a fifth as Hawks began to build up a head of steam.

Two more goals followed as the home side wrapped up victory.
